Putting the finger on the spot

Very often we don’t see what is actually right there in front of us. Borealis’ resins and pellets are used to produce a multitude of car parts, but we don’t notice them because they blend in so well - and of course they have to. To showcase its contribution to car manufacturing, Borealis asked us to create an interactive 3D tool that could be used for sales support among others.

We made a smooth 3D application that runs on tablets as well as on PCs. Users can navigate a virtual car and click on its components to see which car manufacturers use a specific Borealis plastics grade and for which of their models. Alternatively, users can click on the name of a part in a list, upon which the tool rotates and zooms in on the virtual car to show the physical component. In addition, the tool features downloadable PDF datasheets of each Borealis grade, and incorporates more in-depth information to provide a comprehensive view of Borealis’ innovative contributions to the car industry.
